Day 1 of the Hot Rod Power
Tour Adventure
We got the indoor plants all set up for automatic watering and it looks like all is well at home.
We left home about 12 noon
headed to Chloride, AZ for the night.
Why Chloride, you say? We were
watching an old Western on TV a week or so ago and it was taking place in
Chloride. The Good Guys vs the Bad Guys,
and gun fights in the middle of town. We
knew we had heard of Chloride, but Renie had to Google it to find out where it
was. Well, it just happens to be between
Boulder City/Hoover Dam and Kingman. We
said, what the heck, we have never been there, just by it a ton of times. It has a very nice Campground with hookups
and lots of very nice people that full time it there. We arrived about 4 that afternoon, meet our
neighbors and spent the evening visiting. The elevation of Chloride is abut
4000 ft., so it cooled off nicely and we had a great evening. The bulls walk through the campsite most every night. Tonight it looked like it was going to be mating season, but there was no action other than a bunch of noise and dust being kicked up. Would recommend Chloride to anyone traveling
the 93 and looking for a side trip adventure.
